Give 'em Hell Bubba!

I hope the Democratic party will take a lesson from President Clinton and put some bite in their bark.

I'm not going to suggest that spin doesn't happen on actual news programs; HOWEVER, Fox is to journalism as Mad Magazine is to literature.

The Neocon Club Song

By L.F. Gerace

(Sung to the tune of
The Mickey Mouse Club Song)

Join the leader of the club
who lied to you and me

If you buy their bullshit
you’re as welcome as can be

Drop a bomb
On Sadaam
forever let us go and occupy
Why, why, why?

Though they’re wrong
they sing their song
and hope we’ll all agree

Georgie B.
can’t you see
another day another I-E-D *
Bye, bye, bye

The phony fear
that put us here
will be your legacy...

N-E-O
We’re despised the world Over
C-O-N
Why? Because you’re a hapless Nitwit
Poor Old Georgie B.

AMEN

This piece by Keith Olbermann is the most eloquent, heartfelt, intelligent and forthright statement I have yet heard regarding 911 and its wretched aftermath. LINK

For the Lost

by L.F. Gerace

Why was I so lucky
allowed to remain
my life spared, unbroken

Helplessly watching
their desperate finality
burning, collapse, devastation

Grieving for the ones
left behind to wonder
why the most painful questions
have no real answers here

Still struggling to overcome the sorrow
indelible, inescapable, relentless
while trying to be present
in every momentof every day

Living in a world in such need of humanity
makes me wonder today
if hate might not be stronger than love

But live your life
and revel in the good…
the lost would not want it to end this way
